Body Of Missing Pittsburgh Man Recovered From TN Lake
The body of a Pittsburgh-area man who went missing while kayaking has been recovered from a Tennessee lake.
NASHVILLE, TN — The body of a well-known Pittsburgh marathoner who went missing was recovered Friday from Percy Priest Lake in Nashville.
Don Slusser, 73, and his wife, Tammy, were on a camping and kayaking excursion at Seven Points. First responders were called around 8:30 p.m. after Slusser disappeared as a storm moved through the area, WTVF-TV in Nashville reported.
The Slussers were well known in Pittsburgh running circles. Don Slusser had run in every Pittsburgh Marathon and every Pittsburgh Great Race, according to TribLive. In 2009, the Slussers were among the first inductees into the Pittsburgh Marathon Hall of Fame.
