Braddock Getting New Restaurant In Old Superior Motors Space
Already an established force in Braddock, Brew Gentlemen is taking over the space once occupied by the acclaimed Superior Motors.
BRADDOCK, PA — As the new place states: Same town, new digs.
Brew Gentlemen, a staple on Braddock Avenue for years, has taken over the former Superior Motors restaurant seven block down the street and soon will reopen the vacant space as the Braddock Public House.
"For a decade, BG has been on a mission to provide opportunities for you to come to Braddock – to drink Braddock-brewed beers, share meaningful experiences, and participate in the revitalization of this historic steel town," an introductory post on the new restaurant's Instagram page stated.

"Once again, we're setting the stage and hoping you'll visit. While you're here, we hope to create something beautiful together."
The site originally was Superior Motors, one of the nation's first indoor car dealerships.

Former Pittsburgh chef and restaurateur Kevin Sousa drew acclaim after he reopened the space as a restaurant with the same name in 2017. Like many restaurants, it closed during the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 and never reopened.
Braddock Public House will have a famous neighbor. U.S. Sen. John Fetterman, who began his political career as Braddock's mayor, lives above the restaurant space with his family.
