Bullet Found On Pittsburgh-Area Elementary School Bus

Security has been beefed up in a Pittsburgh-area school district following the bullet's discovery.

SHALER TOWNSHIP, PA — Security was bolstered in the Shaler Area School District Wednesday after a bullet was discovered on a school bus.

District officials said in a message to parents the bullet was found after an elementary school pickup on Wednesday morning. The message stated there is no reason to believe any immediate threat to students or staff exists.

The district, Shaler police and ABC Transit, the district's transportation contractor, now are attempting to determine how the bullet got on the bus.
