  1. Two teenagers were shot on Thanksgiving evening in Pittsburgh's Sheraden neighborhood. Both were reported to be in critical condition after being struck by "a barrage of gunfire." No arrests have been made as of Friday evening; the incident remains under investigation. (Pittsburgh Patch)
  2. State taxes on casino revenues are funding projects for several organizations in the Pittsburgh area. The grants were awarded through the Gaming Economic Development Tourism Fund. The Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Zoological Society, and the Pittsburgh Symphony are among the grant recipients. (Subscription: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)
  3. The Pittsburgh Business Times reports Piper's Pub, a longstanding staple in the Carson Street bar scene, is filing for bankruptcy. The pub, which first came to East Carson Street in 1999, closed in May 2021 and has not yet reopened. Piper's next-door sister location, the Pub Chip Shop, is still open for business.   • The holiday season has begun, and Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) operators are celebrating by decorating their buses and rail cars!
