Celebrated Sports Celebrity To Appear At Pittsburgh Mall
A gifted sports name will make an appearance with kids at a Pittsburgh mall.
ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes will join a group of pre-selected kids from youth sports organizations across the greater Pittsburgh area for a Topps Rip event on the Outdoor Field at Dick's Sporting Goods House of Sport at Ross Park Mall.
The event will occur June 27 at 10 a.m.
Topps Rip events involve the excitement and passion of card collecting and trading.

The Dick's location displays a one-of-a-kind Skenes baseball card.
Dick's in Marched announced it was the winning bidder for the card, which is autographed and
contains a patch that was on the Pirates pitcher's jersey during his highly anticipated first major league appearance last May.

Dick's, which is headquartered in Coraopolis, purchased the card for $1.1 million.
Skenes started the All-Star Game last year as a rookie and generally is considered the best pitcher in baseball. He currently has a 1.85 earned run average although his record is 4-6 because the Pirates are awful.
