- A local man faces charges after allegedly planting a camera inside a restroom at The Frick Pittsburgh. Todd Bueschen, 35, faces 90 charges, including invasion of privacy, sexual abuse of children, and possession of child pornography. According to police, Bueschen used the camera to spy on museum patrons inside a unisex restroom. (TribLIVE)
- The Heinz name has returned — in a smaller way — to the recently-renamed Acrisure Stadium. If you're headed to a Steelers game, you'll now see Heinz signage above the Gate C entrance across from the Pittsburgh Regional Transit Allegheny light rail station. The move comes as part of a new sponsorship arrangement with Kraft Heinz, the length and financial terms of which have not been disclosed to the public. (Pittsburgh Patch)
- On Tuesday, Pittsburgh Public Schools board members unanimously passed a resolution taking a stance on race and gender identity teaching in the classroom. The resolution expressed concerns about Pennsylvania House bills 1532 and 2813, which restrict certain teachings surrounding race and sex, as well as state Senate bills 1278 and 1277, which ban discussion of gender and sexuality prior to fifth grade. In part, the statement read, "The district formally opposes and rejects any legislation that suppresses classroom discussion; promotes fear, intolerance, and hate; and devalues staff, students and families of color, and LGBTQ+ students, staff, and families."
