PITTSBURGH, PA — Dave's Hot Chicken, one of the nation's most rapidly growing fast-casual restaurant chains, has signed an agreement with a team of investors to open 10 Pittsburgh locations.

The restaurants will open over the next five years, according to QSR Magazine, which reports on the quick service restaurant industry. There is no word yet on where the eateries will be located or when the first one will arrive.

According to its website, Dave’s Hot Chicken specializes in jumbo hot chicken tenders and sliders,
along with sides of house-made kale slaw, mac n’ cheese and seasoned fries. Dave's offers seven various spice levels ranging from no spice to reaper, which requires the diner to sign a waiver before consuming.

The seven-year old eatery began with four friends selling hot chicken tenders out of an East Hollywood parking lot. The recipe eventually attracted the attention of the rapper Drake, who became a significant investor in the company.

Dave's will enter a robust and chicken restaurant market in Pittsburgh, competing with chains such as Chick-fil-A, Raising Cane's and Layne's Chicken Fingers.
