Deadly Shooting Occurs On Pittsburgh South Side Street

PITTSBURGH, PA — A man was shot to death Sunday night on the busiest street in Pittsburgh's South Side.

At approximately 10:09 p.m., Pittsburgh police responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of East Carson Street, where they found a 33-year-old man with a single gunshot wound to the neck. They immediately initiated first aid measures.

Pittsburgh EMS took the man to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:27 p.m.

The Real Time Crime Center is reviewing all surveillance video in the area. The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process the scene.

Detectives are leading an ongoing investigation into the incident.
