Denny's To Close Numerous Restaurants: See Impact For Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA — Denny's plans to close more than 10 percent of its restaurants across the country, dramatically reduce the items on its menu and ease the requirement that restaurants remain open 24 hours a day.
Company executives announced during an earnings call this week that they would close 150 of the 1,358 Denny's locations week, according to USA Today. Fifty of the restaurants will be shuttered by the end of this year, while the remaining 100 will close in 2025.
Denny's also will parse more than 50 items from its menu, going from 97 options to 46, according to CNN.

Executives said the requirement that restaurants remain open 24/7 is being lifted because of the lack of diners during off-hours.
Denny's has yet to specify which restaurants will be closing, but said older and underperforming locations will be targeted.

According to Denny's website, the restaurant has 12 locations in Western Pennsylvania:
