Former Pittsburgh TV & Radio News Reporter Dies
A veteran presence in the Pittsburgh broadcasting community has died.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Anne Linaberger, who held various positions at Pittsburgh TV and radio stations over the years, has died. The Mid-Atlantic Emmy Chapter, of which Linaberger was an active member, announced her death in a weekend social media post.
"Anne was smart, funny and kind.," the post stated. "She had impeccable news judgment and was a wealth of knowledge. She left an imprint on the Pittsburgh media landscape, without question."
According to the Emmy organization, Linaberger began her career as a reporter at WDTV-TV in Clarksburg, WV in the 1980s. She moved to WTAE-TV and WTAE-AM in the early 90s, working as a reporter and later as an executive producer.

After a stint at WAMO-AM, Linaberger moved to KDKA-TV as special projects executive producer, moved to assistant news director and then served as news director for nearly a decade. She left the station in 2018, and most recently worked as vice president of C4CS, a Pittsburgh media training and consulting firm.
A memorial service is planned for a later date.
