Former Steelers Starter Traded To AFC North Division Rival
A productive former Steelers player is poised to face the Black and Gold after being shipped to an AFC North team Tuesday.
PITTSBURGH, PA — The Steelers shipped productive wide receiver Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers this offseason. Now it appears Johnson will face his former team twice this season following his trade to an AFC North rival.
The Baltimore Ravens, who currently trail the Steelers by a game in the division, are trading for Johnson, per ESPN's Adam Schefter and the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The Steelers had swapped Johnson to Carolina in exchange for cornerback Donte Jackson, who now will be tasked with covering the wide receiver when the Steelers play the Ravens on Nov. 17 and Dec. 21.
