Giant Rubber Ducks Invade Pittsburgh-Area Community

A collection of large rubber ducks have popped up on a number of buildings in this Pittsburgh-area town.

CANONSBURG, PA — The mystery is solved.

A week after 5,000 miniature ducks suddenly appeared throughout this Pittsburgh-area community, larger ones appeared on the rooftops of Canonsburg on Thursday.

The culprit confessed on social media.

"Yup… it was us," Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop on West Pike Street posted on Facebook.

"5,000 ducks placed over the last two weeks - and growing each time! Today, we present 10 MASSIVE bright yellow duck surprises waiting for you throughout Downtown Canonsburg!"

In addition to new and nostalgic candy, Grandpa Joe's also has 250 old-fashioned soda glasses, funny socks, humorous mugs and new and old school games, puzzles and toys.

The shop requested people grab a photo of the giant ducks and tag it at #GrandpaJoes #WhatTheDuckCanonsburg.
