PITTSBURGH, PA — Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance will make a campaign appearance in the Pittsburgh area on Thursday. Vance will speak at 10 a.m. at VFW Post 92 in New Kensington, Westmoreland County.

Vance, a Republican senator from Ohio, apparently will speak on veterans' issues.

"Unlike a Harris-Walz Administration, a Trump-Vance Administration will honor America’s heroes including Pennsylvania’s nearly 800,000 veterans and always salute and support our men and women in uniform," the Trump-Vance campaign release announcing Vance's upcoming appearance stated.

"President Trump made historic accomplishments for America’s veterans including revolutionizing the VA health care system, signing the Forever G.I. Bill into law, fighting to address the crisis of veteran suicide in America, working to reform the VA, and always putting veterans first."

Joining Vance will be several Republican congressional representatives who are veterans: Jim Banks of Indiana and Brian Mast and Michael Waltz, both of Florida.
