Guardian Of Pittsburgh Girl Found Dead Overdoses: Authorities
The circumstances of a 9-year-old Pittsburgh-area child's death grow more grim. Patch provides the unfortunate details.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A guardian of a 9-year-old Fayette County girl found dead yesterday has overdosed.
District Attorney Michael Aubele told that to WTAE-TV. The guardian is alive. Her condition was unknown as of Friday afternoon.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, Renesmay Eutsey, 9, was found partially submerged in the
Youghiogheny River near Smithton in Westmoreland County around 3:30 a.m on Thursday. Kourtney Malinda Eutsey, 31, has been charged with criminal homicide.

The child's body was discovered in a trash bag along the river. A specific cause of death has yet to be disclosed.
Eutsey was in a relationship with Sarah Shipley, the court-ordered custodian of the child.

“Sarah Shipley was the court-ordered custodian of Renesmay,” Aubele told WTAE.
“Kourtney Eutsey was the live-in caretaker in a relationship with Miss Shipley. Miss Eutsey had
adopted at least one of the other children in the household. (Eutsey and Shipley) were in a relationship in which the children referred to Kourtney Eutsey as Mom and Sarah Shipley as Dad.”
In addition to the homicide charge, Eutsey also has been charged with aggravated assault and concealing the death of a child.
Shipley is not currently facing charges in connection with the death.
