Handgun Seized At Pittsburgh International Airport
A Pittsburgh International Airport passenger was nabbed with a gun in his backpack.

FINDLAY TOWNSHIP, PA — An Ohio man is facing a felony charge after his firearm was discovered Wednesday at Pittsburgh International Airport's main security checkpoint.
It was the 11th weapon confiscated at the airport thus far this year.
At 2:05 p.m., Transportation Security Administration officers observed a handgun within the man's backpack at the security checkpoint alerted Allegheny County Police. They determined he did not possess a valid concealed carry permit and charged him with carrying a firearm without a license.

The FBI also was notified.
Passengers who bring firearms into an airport security checkpoint can face federal civil fines from the Transportation Security Administration up to $10,000. Repeat offenders can be fined up to $13,910.
