PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has ordered the closure of Sichuan Palace, on Federal Drive, for numerous health code violations.
An inspection on Wednesday revealed the eatery is operating without a valid health permit. The restaurant changed hands in March 2024, but the new owner failed to notify the health department.
During the inspection, non-potable water and grease from a clogged wok-station pipe leading to grease interceptor was observed leaking into floor cavity and onto floor. The restaurant also lacks other required plumbing fixtures, including a three-compartment sink with a grease trap, a service contract for grease trap and an air gap on the food preparation sink.
