Health Department Closes Suburban Pittsburgh Eatery

The Allegheny County Health Department has shut down a Pittsburgh-area restaurant. You'll find the reason for that here.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has ordered the closure of Armstrong's Express on Washington Avenue in Bridgeville because of an imminent health hazard.

A May 10 inspection revealed an active sewage leak present in the basement of the building. The inspector observed wastewater flowing from the basement’s wastewater system while flushing toilets, running the bathroom hand sink, and when the two-compartment sink was running.

Due to the building’s inoperable wastewater disposal system, the eatery was ordered closed.
