Health Department Shuts Down Pittsburgh Eatery
The Allegheny County Health Department has closed a Pittsburgh eatery.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has ordered the closure of the 611 Cafe on William Penn Place, Downtown.
A recent inspection found dead roaches in the basement.
Additionally, no invoices for sources of food offered at the eatery could be produced.

The expiration date on heavy cream was a month old.
Food, half and half and heavy cream were being stored at unsafe temperatures.

The eatery also is operating without a valid health permit.
A "closed" placard is posted at an establishment when an imminent health hazard is identified at a
restaurant or kitchen or if it has been operating without proper permits. It is unlawful to operate a food facility with a "closed" placard.
