PITTSBURGH, PA — Firefighters were called to massive apartment building fire in the city's Squirrel Hill section Tuesday in a blaze that leaves dozens homeless.

The Jefferson Apartment complex in the 500 block of Forward Avenue has been condemned and likely will be demolished following an emergency declaration, Pittsburgh Fire Chief Daryl Jones told multiple media outlets Tuesday.

The building is located near the intersection of Forward and Murray avenues. It has approximately 30 units, authorities said.
