PITTSBURGH, PA — An international bakery and cafe chain is scouting locations and plans to open nearly two dozen locations over the coming months.
Paris Baguette, which has a Ross Township cafe, likely will open 20 more in the region, company officials said.
"Our first café in Ross Township has received an incredible response from the local community,
which gives us tremendous confidence in the potential for continued growth across the greater
Pittsburgh area," chief development officer Nick Scaccio told Patch. "We believe Paris Baguette’s neighborhood bakery café experience is a perfect fit for the region’s strong sense of community and appreciation for quality food and hospitality."

While Paris Baguette hasn't finalized specific neighborhoods in which to open, Scaccio said the company is focused on identifying prime real estate in high-traffic, high-density areas.
"Paris Baguette is an ideal complement to commuter-friendly locations and vibrant community hubs, and we’re targeting sites that offer strong co-tenancy opportunities and easy accessibility for guests," Scaccio said.

The Ross location opened last year and the second one is slated to open in Shadyside this month. The additional cafes will open gradually over the next several years, Scaccio said.
Paris Baguette, which features various baked goods and coffee brands, currently has 250 locations throughout North America. Company officials hope to top 1,000 cafes across the country by 2030.
Paris Baguette has more than 4,000 locations internationally and has 11 current locations in Pennsylvania.
