Jay Leno Hurt In Fall Down Steep Pittsburgh Hill
The former "Tonight Show" host took a nasty tumble while in Pittsburgh for a show over the weekend.

PITTSBURGH, PA — There was nothing funny about the fall comedian-talk show host Jay Leno took while in the Pittsburgh area for an appearance last weekend.
The former "Tonight Show" host significantly bruised the left side of his face and was wearing an eye patch when telling reporters about the incident Monday night before he performed in Beverly Hills.
Leno, 74, told "Inside Edition" he was staying at a Hampton Inn in Hempfield, about 30 miles of east of Pittsburgh, and tumbled down the hill while walking to a nearby restaurant before his show at the Palace Theater in Greensburg Friday night.

Leno revealed he suffered a broken wrist and lost a fingernail. The left side of his face was black and blue. His eye was swollen shut.
In a separate interview with TMZ , Leno said he attempted to navigate the hill as a shortcut to the restaurant and fell 60 or 70 feet. He said he "hit a bunch of rocks" during the tumble.

Despite his injuries, the Greensburg show went on as scheduled. He told TMZ he didn't visit the hospital until he got back to Los Angeles.
