Kennywood Adding To Holiday Lights Festivities

Kennywood has announced a number of additions to its Holiday Lights season this year. Patch proides the details here.

WEST MIFFLIN, PA — Kennywood is offering more dates and additional activities to its annual Holiday Lights season that traditionally sports more than three million lights and Pennsylvania's tallest Christmas tree.

The amusement park's 26-day Holiday Lights season begins Friday Nov. 15 and this year will add the following attractions:

  • A Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Zone offering meet and greets with Rudolph and his friends Clarice, Bumble and Sam the Snowman.
  • A holiday reflections light show in which thousands of twinkling lights around the lagoon will be synchronized to holiday music.
  • Live performances at the park's garden stage that will feature songs from artists such as Michael Buble, Ariana Grande and Bruno Mars.
  • An all-new Santa meet-and-greet experience in the park's Lost Kennywood area.
  • Jeeter’s Pub and Carousel Burger Company will offer the park's initial holiday menus featuring hot toddies, peppermint milkshakes, warm pretzels and more.

Additional rides will be open this year as well, including the Racer, Turtle, Potato Smash Bumper Cars and Musik Express. More than 25 rides and attractions will be operating through the season.

Holiday Lights runs Fridays from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 3 p.m.-9 p.m. from Nov. 15-Dec. 23, plus daily from December 26 through January 1.
