Longtime Pittsburgh International Airport Eatery Closes

As the airport begins adding many new dining spots, one of its mainstay eateries has closed.

FINDLAY TOWNSHIP, PA — Ronald McDonald has caught a flight out of town at Pittsburgh International Airport. After more than 30 years, the McDonald's location in the airport's airside terminal has shut down.

An airport official confirmed the closure to WTAE-TV.

The suprising move comes amid a flurry of new dining options that have been announced as the airport plans to open its new landside terminal later this year. Last month, the airport announced that it was adding the nationally renowned, Pittsburgh-based Mineo's Pizza House.
