Man Attempts To Take Live Grenade On Pittsburgh Airport Flight
TSA agents and Allegheny County police stopped a man from taking a live grenade onto a Pittsburgh International Airport flight Tuesday.

FINDLAY TOWNSHIP, PA — Charges have been filed after a man attempted to bring a live flash-bang grenade onto a flight at Pittsburgh International Airport Tuesday.
Transportation Security Administration officers observed the grenade with the man's carry-on bag at the main security checkpoint and alerted Allegheny County police. A county police bomb squad technician confirmed the grenade was live and it was safely removed from the area.
Zachary Velling, 25, of Morgantown, WV is facing two misdemeanor charges for prohibitive offensive weapons and criminal attempt – carrying explosives on conveyances. He was
taken to the Allegheny County Jail pending preliminary arraignment.
