Man Set Fire To Pittsburgh Home With People Inside: Police
A suburban Pittsburgh man is accused of attempting to burn down a residence while three people were in it. Get the details here.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A man is in custody after allegedly setting fire to a home in the city's Windgap section Thursday night while three people were inside.
The fire broke out at the residence on the 3800 block of Windgap Avenue around 9:16 p.m., authorities said.
The blaze originated on the front porch. When fire crews arrived on the scene, the three people who were inside already had exited out of the back of the home.

Investigators identified the suspect in the incident as Timothy Hamilton, 45, of Kennedy Township. He was taken into custody and faces charges of aggravated arson, arson-endangering persons, causing or risking a catastrophe, arson-endangering property, criminal mischief and recklessly endangering another person.
He is being housed in the Allegheny County Jail.
