Man Shoots Other Man, Then Shoots Self In Pittsburgh Suburb: Police

Charges have been filed in connection with a Pittsburgh-area shooting.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A man is facing multiple charges in connection with a shooting in Bethel Park last month.

According to Allegheny County Police, Seth Zimmerman is now charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and recklessly endangering another person.

On Jan. 30, Bethel Park police were dispatched to the 500 block of Chessbriar Drive for reports of a shooting. Responding officers made phone contact with the victim, who said another man - later identified as Zimmerman - shot him and then shot himself.

The victim and Zimmerman were taken to an area hospital in critical condition. The victim remains in the hospital but has been upgraded to stable condition.

In a social media post on Tuesday, county police did not provide a motive for the shooting.
