PITTSBURGH, PA — A 70-year-old man was shot in the parking lot of a nursing home in the city's Larimer section shortly after noon Tuesday, Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said.
Police were called to the Corner View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center on Frankstown Avenue at around 12:23 p.m. Arriving units found the man outside the center's lobby suffering with a through-and-through gunshot wound to his stomach.
The man told officers that he was robbed of cash and his wedding band by an unknown man.

He was last listed in critical condition at a nearby hospital.
It was not immediately clear if the man was a center resident or was visiting someone there.
