Man Stabbed In Downtown Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA — Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred near the Benedum Center in Downtown Pittsburgh Thursday night.

Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Liberty Avenue at around 11:30 p.m., where they found a man with a stab wound to his abdomen. Officers rendered aid until medics arrived and took the man to a nearby hospital, where he underwent surgery and is in critical condition.

Reports indicate the victim had been engaged in some sort of altercation prior to the stabbing.

No suspects have been identified.

The investigation is ongoing.
