Missing Pittsburgh-Area Autistic Child Found Dead

PITTSBURGH, PA — An autistic 5-year-old boy from McKeesport was discovered dead, authorities said.

Malik Patterson was found dead just before 3 p.m. on Monday near Water Street. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office did not immediately issue a cause of death.

In a social media post, McKeesport police initially said the child was last seen Monday at around 10 a.m. in the rear of the 13th building in Harrison Village. The department subsequently put a "canceled" stamp on the post.
