New Pittsburgh Mexican Restaurant Sets Opening Date

PITTSBURGH, PA — A new Mexican eatery will debut in the city later this month.

Casa del Tequila will open on Sept. 29 on Murray Avenue in the space that long was occupied by Silky's bar and, later and briefly, the Warehouse.

The opening date was announced on social media.

"Finally. We've got a date and it's not with a contractor," the restaurant's Facebook pagestated.

"The ink is still wet on licenses, so this is breaking news! We hope you're ready for some amazing Mexican food and margaritas.

"It's been a ridiculously long wait. We're stoked to throw open those doors and welcome you all to the party."
