PITTSBURGH, PA — "After seven years on the road, we've found a permanent home on Pittsburgh's historic North Side."
With that social media announcement, Alberta's pizza opened its doors Monday on Western Avenue on Pittsburgh's North Side. The restaurant has opened after seven years of food truck business.
It's not just a grab-a-slice, do-and-dash type of place. The menu also includes small plates such as anchovy and egg, tostones, fritto misto, charred brocolini, zucchini frites and fire roasted bell peppers.

The eatery also boasts a full wine menu and cocktail menu.
The restaurant is owned by Beau Mital and is named after his late mother, Alberta Gail. The food truck operation began in 2017, and Mital used his 20 years of living in New York City to craft the food he now serves daily.
