Pennsylvania Secretary Of State Kathy Boockvar Leaving Wolf Administration After Failure To Advertise Constitutional Amendment
Gov. Tom Wolf says the change has nothing to do with the 2020 election, "which was fair and accurate."

HARRISBURG (KDKA) – Pennsylvania Secretary Of State Kathy Boockvar is leaving the Wolf administration after the Department of State failed to advertise a constitutional amendment as required before the 2020 general election.

HB 963, in response to the child sexual abuse by Catholic clergy, was passed by the legislature in November 2019 and could have been considered this month for second consideration. The constitutional amendment would retroactively extend the timeline victims have to file civil action against their abusers.
