Pittsburgh Area Again Under Severe Storm Threat
The potential for severe weather in the Pittsburgh has returned.

PITTSBURGH, PA — As the cleanup from Tuesday’s destructive storms continues, the threat of severe weather continues in Western Pennsylvania.
The National Weather Service says there is a potential for severe thunderstorms to develop this afternoon and evening with the approach of a cold front. The main hazard is expected to be damaging wind, though large hail and heavy downpours are also possible.
The storms are expected to occur between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. The Weather Service says a few of them could pack winds of 75 mph or more and produce hail at least two inches in diameter. An isolated tornado also is possible.

The weather service says the severe weather threat will resume again on Saturday, but the agency has not yet provided a time frame for their potential occurence.
