The woman who fell out of the vehicle told police Gomez Lopez was speeding and punching her in the arm when she and the baby fell out because a door was not properly closed.

The infant was flown to Children's Hospital in critical condition. The woman and three-year-old child were treated for minor injuries.

Gomez Lopez was taken to the Indiana County Jail to face charges that include endangering the welfare of children, fleeing from police and DUI.
