Pittsburgh-Area Children Found Living In Filth; Mom Facing Charges

Police discovered children living in a disgusting home environment in the Pittsburgh area.

VANDERGRIFT, PA — A Pittsburgh-area mother is facing criminal charges after her children were found alone and living in filth.

Holly Lynn Beer, 35, is charged with multiple counts of endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person.

Police were alerted to the situation after intervening in an alley confrontation involving the minors, WTAE-TV reported.

The station reported that when police arrived at the children's home, they had to avoid large feces droppings and urine pooled all over the residence.

The home also had no water. The bathtub was filled with dishes and dirt.

According to court records, a preliminary hearing has yet to be scheduled.
