Pittsburgh-Area Fatal Bar Shooting: New Info

New information has emerged on a fatal shooting last week in a Pittsburgh-area club.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A suspect was arrested Tuesday in connection with a fatal shooting at a bar in Duquesne.

Allegheny County police said the shooting occurred at around 11:30 p.m. Friday at the Safari Club in the 700 block of Grant Avenue. The victim, Tywone McClain, 26, was taken to an area hospital where he died.

Through witness interviews and surveillance video, detectives determined an altercation occurred between McClain, a witness, and another male, later identified as Marvin Harpool, 51. Harpool allegedly produced a handgun and shot McClain.

Harpool is charged with criminal homicide and persons not to possess a firearm. He was transported to the Allegheny County Jail pending preliminary arraignment.
