GREENSBURG, PA — A Westmoreland Mall space that has been vacant since the departure of Sears in 2019 soon will be partially filled.

A Dick's House of Sport is slated to move into the part of the Sears space, according to marketing materials from Howard Hanna Commercial Real Estate Co. seeking to lure a 78,000-square-foot retailer to join the new Dick's. The news first was reported by the Pittsburgh Business Times.

Dick's has not officially announced the move.

The Findlay-based Dick's opened its first Pittsburgh House of Sport in April in Ross Park Mall. In addition to athletic apparel, a House of Sport features experiences such as a climbing wall, a batting cage, putting green, outdoor playing field and a skating rink.

The company previously has stated that it plans to open 15 new Dick's House of Sport next year, but it is unclear whether the Westmoreland Mall location will be one of them.
