Pittsburgh-Area Man Dies In ATV Crash

WASHINGTON COUNTY, PA — A man died Friday morning when he lost control of the ATV he was riding on the Panhandle Trail in Smith Township.

Authorities identified the man as Stephen Pasquale, 40, of Midway. He was ejected from the ATV, which then rolled on top of him. A passerby discovered the accident at around 9 a.m. and called 911.

Pasquale was not wearing a helmet when he crashed.

An autopsy will be performed to determine Pasquale's specific cause and manner of death.
