Pittsburgh-Area Pizzeria Closing After Six Decades
A popular Western Pennsylvania pizza parlor is shutting its doors.
BEAVER FALLS, PA — The final pie soon will be tossed at D&G Pizza on 7th Street, a Beaver Falls staple for six decades.
Owner Ken Lavato said the pizzeria will close its doors on Dec. 21. He made the announcement via social media.
"I want to express my deepest appreciation to all our valued customers for being the reason for our successful family business. I was able to work along side my Dad (Gene Levato) everyday and I cherish that more than ever now, since his passing this year," Levato wrote in a Facebook post.

"I am truly grateful to the Beaver Falls community for gifting me that honor and helping make so many treasured memories over the years.The Original D&G Pizza Beaver Falls proudly served this community with much devotion for 60 years."
Levato said he is looking forward to spending time with his loved ones.
