Pittsburgh-Area Pizzeria Raising Money For Blind & Deaf Employee
A Pittsburgh-area pizza place is holding a fundraiser for an employee who doesn't let his blindness and deafness hinder him.
RUSSELLTON, PA — Zach Grabowski is blind and deaf, but don't call him disabled. He enjoys rowing and has worked at the Fox's Pizza Den for the past year and a half.
Grabowski is such a valued employee that the pizzeria will hold a fundraiser for him on Sept. 21 from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. The proceeds for the event will go to the Three Rivers Rowing Association, which helps Grabowski with his rowing.
"Zach has been an inspiration to all of us at Fox’s Pizza Den," a post on the pizza place's Facebook page stated.

"He is a person that just lifts you up when you are having a bad day. To watch him work is so amazing he really knows no limits. He folds our pizza boxes, portions out appetizers, and also calls in our produce orders. Amongst a lot of other things."
Baskets donated by local businesses will be raffled off and Grabowski will be on hand at the fundraiser to meet people.
