PITTSBURGH, PA — A restaurant chain has shut down one of its Pittsburgh-area locations without any advance warning.
Smokey Bones in Robinson has gone out of business.
No announcement was made on social media, but callers to the restaurant on Monday got a recorded message saying it was now permanently closed.

The three other southwestern Pennsylvania locations - in Cranberry, Frazer and Greensburg - remain open.
A Smokey Bones location in Maumee, Ohio, also shuttered its doors on Monday.

According to WTOL-TV, a sign on the entrance to that location said, "We regret to announce that this location has permanently closed as of Monday, Jan. 12. We thank our loyal guests for many wonderful years."
In September, Twin Hospitality, which owns the restaurant chain, said it had identified 15 underperforming Smokey Bones locations and immediately closed 10 of them. The company said in a news release that the other five would close before the end of the company's fiscal third quarter.
