Pittsburgh-Area Tavern Reopens Years After Devastating Fire
The long wait for a Pittsburgh-area bar to reopen after a fire leveled it years ago finally has ended.
ELRAMA, PA — Three years after a fire destroyed the Elrama Tavern on Route 837 along the border of Allegheny and Washington counties, the rebuilding effort is complete. The popular gathering spot announced it is open again as of Monday.
"After a challenging journey following a fire in March 2022, we are thrilled to share our beautiful, cozy & inviting brand new space with you," a message on the tavern's website stated. "Come explore & experience the warmth & charm that we’ve worked hard to recreate."
The tavern's owners declared the place a total loss after the fire left it a pile of smoldering ruins.
