Pittsburgh-Area Teen Charged With Fatally Stabbing 10-Year-Old
A 13-year old Pittsburgh-area boy has been charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of a 10-year-old boy.
DONEGAL, PA — A stabbing in this Westmoreland County town Thursday has left a boy dead and a teen charged with criminal homicide.
James Campbell, 13, has been charged with first-degree murder, according to court documents. He has been charged as an adult in the slaying of Hunter Meyers, 10.
The slaying occurred in the 400 block of Donegal Lake Road, about 50 miles from Pittsburgh.

The victim was stabbed in the head multiple times, police said.
Pennsylvania State Trooper Steve Limani said at a news conference that police were notified of the incident at around 6 a.m. by an unidentified person.

Limani said troopers had been in contact with the Westmoreland County District Attorney's Office and labeled the situation "difficult" for the families involved.
"You're talking about the loss of a child and another child taking that life," he said. "It's very sensitive."
