Pittsburgh Area Under Threat Of Severe Storms
The beginning of the week will bring the chance of severe weather to Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania.
PITTSBURGH, PA — An approaching cold front will bring the risk of severe storms to the Pittsburgh area on Monday.
The National Weather Service says there is a marginal risk of severe storms from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. The main hazard is expected to be damaging wind gusts, though isolated instances of quarter-sized hail or a brief tornado also are possible.
The chance of precipitation today is 90 percent. The high temperature will be near 80. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph with higher gusts possible during storms.

The chance for storms will persist into the evening. Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 70.
