PITTSBURGH, PA — An armed McKeesport man wearing body armor was arrested after an attempted carjacking and police chase. Allegheny County Sheriff Kevin Kraus said in a Thursday statement that Tyler Stewart, 22, was taken into custody Wednesday evening.

A deputy on patrol attempted to stop Stewart's vehicle after observing it speeding and traveling erratically on Bausman Street. The attempt resulted in a pursuit that began along Saw Mill Run Boulevlard, continued onto Crane Avenue and Banksville Road and ended when Stewart crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of Banksville and McMonagle.
