Pittsburgh Man Dies When Car Plunges Into Lake

OSCEOLA COUNTY, FL — The body of a 71-year-old Pittsburgh man was recovered Tuesday after his van went into a lake in the Celebration area.

Citing a Florida Highway Patrol report, WKMG-TV reported that the man was backing out of a parking lot in reverse and for some reason ran off the road. His vehicle struck a curb and a fence before plunging into the lake.

The Orlando Fire Department dive team recovered the man’s body from the submerged vehicle.

The Florida Highway Patrol has not yet released the man's name.
