Pittsburgh Nuisance Bar Task Force Swarms Down On Taverns

PITTSBURGH, PA — Loud noise, over-occupancy, illicit drug use and sales, occurrences of violence, serving alcohol to minors as well as health and fire code violations at city bars. Those type of complaints are investigated by the Pittsburgh Nuisance Bar Task Force.
The task force routinely conducts compliance checks on liquor-serving establishments in the city
that are, or may potentially be, in violation of various laws. It consists of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire, the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement's Pittsburgh Office, the Allegheny County Health Department, the city of Pittsburgh Office of Permits, Licenses, & Inspections and the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office.
