Pittsburgh Pizza Chain Wins International Competition
A Pittsburgh pizza chain fared well in a competition at the International Pizza Expo & Conference.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A Pittsburgh pizza chain and one of its employees won a competition last week at the annual International Pizza Expo & Conference in Las Vegas.
Slice on Broadway's Chris Ostapenko won the World's Best Cheese Slice Award.
"This moment means everything. It’s not just about one incredible slice—it’s about the passion, the hustle, and the amazing team behind it all," a post on the Slice on Broadway Facebook page stated. "From the crew at the show to everyone holding it down back in Pittsburgh—we did this together."

According to the Pizza Expo, judging panels were composed of impartial chefs, food critics, and others from the pizzeria industry. They scored in categories such as crust, sauce, cheese, toppings, bake, overall taste, creativity and appearance.
Slice on Broadway has locations in Beechview, Carnegie, Shadyside, Robinson, Wexford and the South Side.
