Pittsburgh Teen Charged In Shooting Death

PITTSBURGH, PA — Allegheny County Police have made an arrest in connection with a homicide in Wilkinsburg.

At 8:25 pm on Jan. 4, county 911 was notified of a dead man on the sidewalk on the 1000 block of Ross Avenue. He was identified by the county Medical Examiner's Office as Dorrel Ferguson, 19.

Through witness interviews and surveillance videos, detectives identified the suspect as 17-year-old Khalil Valcin. Valcin is facing multiple charges to include homicide and possession of a firearm by a minor. Valcin turned himself in at Pittsburgh Municipal Court on July 23, and he is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
