Pittsburgh Teen Slams Stolen Car Into House: Police
A Pittsburgh teenager is in custody after allegedly driving a stolen vehicle into a house in a Pittsburgh neighborhood.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A teen girl is in custody after driving a stolen car into a house in the city's South Side early Monday, Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said.
At approximately 12:30 a.m., police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed without headlights on at the intersection of East Carson Street and Arlington Avenue .
The vehicle continued eastbound at a high rate of speed. Upon determining that the driver was not stopping, officers deactivated their emergency lights and sirens.

The driver then lost control of the vehicle while turning from Bradish Street onto South 12th Street in the South Side Flats, striking an unoccupied parked vehicle before colliding with the first floor of a residence. Two people inside the home at the time were not injured.
Police confirmed that the vehicle had been reported stolen. The driver, a juvenile female, was taken into custody. Two juvenile passengers were also in the vehicle at the time.

EMS responded to the scene and transported one of the juveniles to a local hospital in stable condition.
The Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections responded to the scene to assess the damage to the residence.
The investigation is ongoing.
